🔒 Lock-Up Rules for a First Impression Specialist
1. Visitor and Staff Check
Ensure all visitors have left
Confirm all staff members have exited or know you’re locking up.
Notify security or management if anyone is lingering without reason.
2. Front Desk Security
Secure sensitive documents (e.g., visitor logs, schedules, deliveries).
Log off or shut down your computer and lock screen if required.
Lock drawers or cabinets containing confidential information.
Turn off or unplug electronics ( Tv’s, space heaters, etc.) if applicable.
3. Physical Checks
Do a walkthrough of the lobby, bathrooms, break rooms, and nearby meeting spaces.
Check for:
Leftover personal belongings
Suspicious packages or items
4. Doors & Windows
Lock main entrance doors and ensure they’re fully secured.
Check windows, and close shades.
6. Lighting
Turn off non-essential lights
7. Communication
Inform your manager or on-site security that the building has been locked up.
8. Final Exit
Exit through the designated door (usually the front or a staff exit).
Lock the door behind you and test the handle to ensure it's secure.
Do not linger outside alone — leave promptly or wait in a secure area if being picked up.
